I've finished part 1 of the novel (and almost caught up on part 2 of the novel) and honestly part 2 is much better than part 1 (part 1 is everything with the tower climbing, part 2 is after this storyline is finished) but part 2 doesn't work as well without part 1 as part 1 builds up characters and their bonds and shit xD
