Otaku Sakamichi Onoda has just entered high school and plans to join the anime club. In middle school, Onoda didn’t have any friends with whom he could talk about anime, games, Akihabara and other otaku things, and he is hoping he can make such friends in the anime club, but he finds out it's been disbanded. In order to reestablish the club he tries to find 4 other people who would like to join. Five years after, Goku is a young adult and dad to his son Gohan, when Raditz arrives on Earth, identifies Goku as his smaller brother 'Kakarrot' and discloses to him that they're members of a virtually extinct extraterrestrial race known as the Saiyans (Saiyajin?), who sent Goku to capture Earth for them, until he suffered a serious head injury and lost all memory of his assignment. Goku gives his life to defeat Raditz, and refuses to continue the assignment, sides with Piccolo. Under the North Kaio Goku trains in the afterlife until he's restored by the Dragon Balls to save the Earth from the invading Nappa and Vegeta. In the conflict Yamcha, Chaozu, Tenshinhan, and Piccolo are killed, and the Dragon Balls stop to exist. Kuririn and the galactic tyrant Freeza learn of another set of Dragon Balls on planet Namek (Namekkusei?), whereupon Bulma, Gohan, and Kuririn search to allow them to restore their buddies and later the Earth's Dragon Balls, resulting in a number of conflicts with Freeza's minions and Vegeta, the latter standing alongside the heroes to fight the Ginyu Force, a team of mercenaries.
